Educational equity means that
circumstances like gender identity, race, ethnicity, sexual preference, disability,
etc. do not preclude a student from having access to a high quality
education. It requires putting systems
and practices in place to ensure that every child has an equal chance for
success. It is a measure of achievement, fairness, and opportunity
in education.
